Buyer's Letter

Also known as Love Letter

A personal letter from a buyer to a seller, sometimes included with an offer to make it stand out emotionally.

In plain English

A buyer's letter (sometimes called a "love letter") shares the buyer's personal story and appreciation for the home, submitted alongside an offer in hopes of connecting emotionally with the seller.

Why it matters

Many agents now advise against these letters, since they can inadvertently introduce information that raises fair housing concerns during seller selection.
