Disclosure
Also known as Seller Disclosure
A seller's legally required written statement of known issues or defects with a property.
In plain English
Most states require sellers to complete a disclosure form listing known material issues with the property — past water damage, foundation problems, pest history, and more — that a buyer wouldn't otherwise discover.
